It’s very easy for single momprenuers to think there isn’t enough time for the things they love outside of their children or their business but Angel attributes the Garden to that moment when the spirit of love, gratitude and grace connected with her in the garden.

“Im nsync with my spirit when I am inspiring others through lessons from life, love or legacy she notes.” One of Angel’s early mentors from her hometown in Nashville, TN was none other than Vernon Winfrey, Oprah Winfrey’s father. Vernon Winfrey, the businessman served the Nashville community as City Councilman for 14 years in Angel’s East Nashville neighborhood. As a child, Knight would stop by his neighborhood store & soak up life lessons from Mr. Winfrey, as he is affectionately known as in Nashville. These conversations with Oprah’s father years ago would help Angel appreciate what it meant to be young, gifted, black & unapologetic for your truth & your gifts. Angel attributes his mentorship to the fact that she has always truly understood there isn’t anything she can’t do and to never stop being a student of life.
